Wilson's Fourteen Points
President Woodrow Wilson created a fourteen point plan in which Germany had to follow and he submitted it to the Allied nation's leaders or the "Big Four" in January of 1918 while they were creating the Treaty of Versailles. The Allies only allowed the creation of the League of Nations to be official made, even though all the points could have been very beneficial in helping to maintain peace. "The Fourteen points were based on "the principle of justice to all peoples and nationalities.""(Appleby, Brinkley, Broussard, McPherson, Ritchie 388). Wilson was very disappointed more of his points weren't included in the treaty but he was still pretty glad one of his more important points was created and he rushed to ask the congress if they could be a part of it. Unfortunately the United States was never a part of the League of Nations.
